Our Story

Three friends.
One dorm room.
Too many bikes.

Kevin, Ji-Yeon, and Arjun were all riding bikes around New York City in college — not because it was trendy, but because it was the only way to get around the city without going broke on the subway every day.

When it was time to upgrade, the math was simple: sell the old bike, buy the new one. But in a college dorm in New York City, that meant posting on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist, fielding lowball offers from strangers, and figuring out how to ship a 30-pound bike with no car, no storage, and no idea what the bike was actually worth.

It took Kevin three weeks and fifteen no-shows to sell a perfectly good Trek for $200 less than it was worth. Ji-Yeon got ghosted twice. Arjun eventually just gave his bike away.

So they built the thing they wished existed. A place where serious cyclists — not casual flippers — could buy and sell pre-owned bikes at honest prices, with real authentication, real shipping infrastructure, and no nonsense.

Rogue Nation is that place.

The Founders

Kevin Chin

Kevin Chin

Co-Founder · Brooklyn, NY

Kevin was a junior at NYU when he tried to sell his Trek road bike to fund a new one. Three weeks on Facebook Marketplace, zero serious buyers.

Ji-Yeon commuted by bike across Manhattan every day. Finding a quality replacement without getting scammed felt impossible.
